We have developed for several years our core microrobotic technologies, mainly propulsion, micro-engine, navigation, tracking, and their integration and trials. We have started to study different propellers to optimize the performance of the couple engine- propeller setting the microrobot in motion. This study is mainly based on hydrodynamic modeling and experiments. We are looking for a resourceful, driven, highly effective intern who will make this study take off. The intern will be supported by our Head of Microrobotics.
Our microrobots are built from the integration of various building blocks, mainly: micro-engine, propulsion, navigation and tracking. During this internship we plan to devise a methodology to optimize the overall hydrodynamics of our microrobots in bodily fluids (close to the rheology of water), focusing mostly on the coupling between the internal micro-engine and the propulsion (propellers). The optimization includes comparing the performances of different micro-engines and propellers.
